- It gives me great pleasure to welcome delegates to Newcastle for the eighth Australian Local Government Association Local Roads and Transport Congress.

I guess I should preface my conversation with you today by letting you know, as I am sure you do that my colleague Matin Ferguson, the Shadow Minister for Transport will speak here tomorrow more specifically about transport and road related issues.
